| Our Happy Tails!!!
To date, we have helped place over 1,200 animals. Here are some of their stories.
ARIZONA Arizona is a shy but sweet soul. She was attacked by another dog, and a portion of her ear had to be surgically removed. She didn't seem to be bothered by it. She just wanted to find a forever home. Luckily for Arizona, Autumn Chandler saw her sweet face online and drove from North Carolina just to meet her. Arizona finally found her forever home, and her new owner joked that perhaps she should change her name to "Holyfield."
OLIVE
Olive was found on the side of the
road, dying from starvation. She was rescued by our group, and her photo was
immediately placed on PetFinder. Within 36 hours, an inquiry was made by Sandra & Alex
Bacho from Morgantown, WV. They were so sure that Olive was the perfect dog for their home, they drove 7 hours just to meet her. It was love at first
site, and Olive is now part of the Bacho family!
Sheeba and Chuckles
This pic was taken at the pound a few months ago. They look like 2 jail birds that are too silly to realize they are in the worst situation they could be in. The Aussie mix looked like a clown so, he was named him Chuckles. After taking this photo, both dogs got spoken for by rescues in the northeast of the US. It is sad that animals here in Powell County have to be sent so far away. We send some as far away as Canada to save them and give them a chance to live a better life. Before buying a pet or have a litter that may not be wanted consider our spay\neuter clinics. Less pets mean more for those that are already here. Visit the pound and see what is available and you will definitely find at least one that will tug at your heart strings. Chuckles is laughing at a joke Sheeba just told. | |
