How the Adoption Process Works
1. Answer and complete all questions asked on the Inquiry Form. (This is the short form of the original adoption application.)
2. You will be contacted by a Friends of Powell County's Pets member, within 24-48 hours of receipt to discuss your inquiry form. Please be prepared to answer a few more questions for us to complete the original application and to insure the animal you are interested in will fit perfectly into your home and lifestyle. We may discuss an alternate animal that will fit better into your home.
3. After the initial contact and you are approved to move forward in the application process, you will be contacted by a memeber of Friends of Powell County's Pets to discuss the and finalize the adoption.
4. Adoption Day!! The happiest day of all. Please have the following items ready for your new family member: food and water dish, dog bed or crate if needed, leash, collar, dog food and a few toys suitable for your new pet.
